Cheetah - "My number"
In Cheetah's new MV she certainly is showing female dominance.
As the MV progresses she exits most of the limelight that is centerd more on her back-up dancers, of both genders which is a nice aspect to the music video. One of my complaints is that some of the costumes I believe are not really apprpriate, and although Cheetah also wears sexy outfits they are not as revealing and they look alot better than the back-up dancers who are literally dancing in their underwear.
To be honest, I definately preferred the back-up dancers in the Harley Quinn concept as it gave the music video more character than some of the others - not including the men dancing in high heels; they were killing it. Which enhanced the strong female aura Cheetah tried to express.
From the lyrics I had read Cheetah was expressing the cleansing of the people aroud her sending simple messages such as ignoring them, as well as her attempts to keep the good people she needed in her life rather than those with a bad attitude.
Cheetah posed as quite agressive with some of her word, which could have either been interprted as self-empowerment or being cocky/big headded.
I have no complaints with her english pronounciation as most of it fell apon the rise in range that was one of the higlights of the song. The song was indeed pleasent to listen to and was not harsh hich made it nicer to listen to Cheetah also did not shout or scream contiuously and varied the range within the song which I am apppaising her for as it made the song even better.
Another point I would like to address is that Cheetah's make-up especially around her eyes was georgous and practically perfect, I would definately want to ask her who her make-up artist was it was so pretty, I quite liked it when she wore the glittery blue eyeshadow or eyeliner -well it could have also been pure glitter, but it was so smooth looking too. I have one question. How??
